Participating School Districts
Professional Learning Communities (PLC)
DREAM’s PLCs provide ongoing professional development opportunities for members across participating districts to learn and grow together. Staff members, who serve in all different positions, engage in learning opportunities around topics that assist in creating truly inclusive and equitable communities. The PLCs meet throughout the year.
Mentorship
BIPOC educators are underrepresented in the profession and may at times feel isolated or face unique challenges that impact job satisfaction. DREAM has developed a mentor program that brings veteran and novice teachers together to provide a support system for BIPOC educators from member districts. Mentors can help provide a sense of belonging and encouragement, share stories of overcoming challenges and help build the mentees’ confidence in their abilities
Scholarships
As part of our recruitment effort, DREAM offers scholarships to candidates who identify as a Person of Color or an individual who supports and/or advocates for marginalized groups. The goal is to create a more equitable, inclusive, and culturally responsive education system by assisting individuals to obtain their teaching license.
